This role offers opportunity to work with an agile business that will support you and develop your knowledge in battery storage technologies, grid connections and revenue modelling and the opportunity to explore new technologies and solutions.

As a smaller company, we are an agile and flexible organisation and you'll be working with an entrepreneurial and highly experienced team from across the clean energy and environmental sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute towards country specific storage development strategies and pipeline identification utilising power system and market analytics, storage revenue stream forecasting and regulatory insight.
  • Support the Storage team in developing business cases for storage projects in multiple European markets, through commercial RtM analysis and assessment of revenue streams in each of the target geographies based on fundamental bottom-up (i.e. renewables penetration, power market trends, need of ancillary services, others) and top-down (i.e. regulatory, country targets) storage market analysis.
  • Assess opportunities and risks for storage projects in specific locations and nodes, thereby identifying preferable connection points which our country specific development teams can progress project siting opportunities.
  • Power system and TSO grid analysis to identify potential project opportunities.
  • Power market and regulatory analysis to develop Renewco Power's market specific storage business cases.
  • Analysis of third party information to develop revenue forecasts to contribute to strategy summaries and financial models.

About you

  • Experience working with a TSO, storage RtM provider or Optimiser, pure play storage developer or technical consultancy with a focus on analysing power systems and markets.
  • Masters' degree or equivalent, preferably in economics, business or engineering, enabling complex data analytics.
  • High IT proficiency in MS Excel, macros and/or programming.
  • Ability to compile complex analysis into concise hypothesis and conclusions through reports and presentations to inform strategy direction.
  • Power system engineering and analysis would be advantageous.
  • Technical specialism in battery storage.
  • Power market modelling.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form.

Applicant must be able to travel occasionally to work with development teams, attend conferences and meet key stakeholders in target markets.
