Groundworker

Job Description

Due to business demand, we are seeking dedicated and diligent Groundworkers to join our dynamic Groundworks and Clearance teams. Our works cover the majority of Scotland, the work is varied and rewarding. In the role some of the works that you will undertake include excavation, preparation of footpaths, draining and sewer systems, and the construction of kerbs, paving, and concrete slabs. You will also undertake surfacing works, including tarmac surfaces and other hardscapes. Clearing of storm-damaged tree, overgrown sites, etc. This list is not exhaustive and additional works will be undertaken. We are committed to investing in our teams and regular training is undertaken to suit business needs and client demands. We are committed to the health and safety of our staff and expect the same standards from all employees. All personal-protective equipment will be provided. Responsibilities • Operate a range of plant and machinery • Maintain plant and machinery to ha high-standard • Work with site managers and clients to ensure that projects are completed within agreed timescales and to the required standards • Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices • Working safely considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks You will hold: • Full UK driving licence • Demonstratable experience within a similar role Advantageous attributes • First Aid Plus F Certified • Experience using chainsaws/woodchippers (tickets would be beneficial but full training and accreditation will be given) A company vehicle is negotiable for the right candidate and the rate of pay is dependent on experience. Our base is 7-miles north of Perth, which will be the starting point of the working day, where required transport will be proved from there.
