About the role:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Enterprise Architect to support the design and implementation of our SAP S4/HANA system. You will collaborate with business functions, particularly in supply chain and finance, to understand their challenges and requirements, ensuring that the system capabilities align with their needs. This role also involves working with external partners to implement technology solutions and managing the daily operations of the SAP service desk.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation:

  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of the SAP S4/HANA system.
  • Ensure that the system architecture supports business goals and integrates seamlessly with existing systems.
  • Develop, communicate & implement SAP S4/HANA 3-5 Year Roadmap.

Business Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Quality and Finance functions to understand their processes, challenges, and requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions that leverage SAP S4/HANA capabilities and communicate expected solution benefits & Return on Investment.
  • Work closely with Digital Delivery Team to ensure projects are scoped, budgeted & resourced appropriately and all new functionality follows suitable UAT and business approval ahead of go-live.

External Partner Collaboration:

  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure successful implementation of SAP technology.
  • Oversee third-party consultants and contractors to ensure project goals are met.

Service Desk Management:

  • Manage the daily operations of the SAP service desk, ensuring timely resolution of issues and high levels of user satisfaction.
  • Establish & track SLAs for resolution of standard change requests and issue resolution.
  • Develop and implement service desk processes and best practices, utilising ITSM platform where possible.

System Optimisation:

  • Continuously evaluate and optimise the SAP S4/HANA system to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and upgrades.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to business users on SAP S4/HANA functionalities and best practices.
  • Develop user guides, SOPs, documentation, and training materials.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure that the SAP S4/HANA system complies with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive business data.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage SAP-related projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

In addition to the above, you will need to demonstrate a good understanding of the real-life use cases to ensure activities are appropriately prioritised, and any technical issues or concerns that could impact decision making are identified and well communicated.

You will be required to collaborate with various technical and non-technical teams across Pharmanovia to understand business problems and deliver solutions appropriate to the business requirements.

About you:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP architecture and implementation, with a focus on SAP S4/HANA.
  • SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) and relevant certifications in data management and governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience with business functions to translate needs into technical solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain, quality and finance processes and systems in a pharmaceutical company.
  • Strong understanding of SAP S4/HANA ERP system, processes and its data structures.
  • Good understanding of peripheral SAP technology & alternative technology solutions to support business processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various teams and to present effectively and defend performance to the CEO and Board.
  • An excellent eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders (non-technical v. technical, junior v. senior, internal v. external).
  • Highly degree of organisation and strong project management skills.
  • Self-starter, ability to motivate others around shared goals.
  • Passion for technology and its impact on business.
