Job Description
Are you a Production Engineer looking for a new exciting opportunity? What Does the Role Entail?
As a Production Engineer, you will optimise the manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, ensure product quality, and maintain safety standards. Your responsibilities include fabricating and assembling mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications, utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and performing welding and other fabrication tasks as needed. You will also develop and implement tooling and fixtures to improve production efficiency, interpret and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Conducting root cause analysis to identify and address production issues, and utilising AutoCAD or other CAD software to create or modify engineering drawings, are also key aspects of the role.
What Skills Will You Have?
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and have proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and mechanical engineering principles. Proficiency in welding techniques and practices, a strong knowledge of tooling design and implementation, and familiarity with GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing processes are essential. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, and proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software for creating or modifying engineering drawings are also important.

This opportunity is working Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours within the time frame of 6AM to 6AM. This opportunity offers a salary ranging from £30,000 to £45,000 per year.
