Senior Employers Agent - Commercial Project (Manchester)
A leading construction and project management firm with a proven track record of successful projects across the UK are seeking a Senior Employers Agent in Manchester to work on a large scale project.
This exciting opportunity is to work on an iconic commercial project setting new standards in sustainability and innovation.


Position Overview:
Your role as Senior Employers Agent will be to oversee a prestigious commercial project in Manchester playing a pivotal role in managing client relationships, coordinating project delivery, and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the construction phase.


Senior Employers Agent Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining strong communication and fostering positive relationships.
  • Manage and administer the construction contract in accordance with the Employer's requirements.
  • Coordinate with the design teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure project objectives are met within budget and on schedule.
  • Oversee procurement activities and provide guidance on contract strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and health & safety compliance, taking proactive measures to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and negotiate variations, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Manage risk and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Employers Agent on commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable.
  • Experience working on projects in the Manchester area is advantageous.
