Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Controller of Site Safety (COSS) to join our team for a project in Southampton. This role requires a qualified professional with a valid Sentinel card, including Track Induction, PTS and COSS. This will be paid Umbrella PAYE. 9 hours paid each shift - Monday to Friday days. £18 per hour. You will be paired up with a Site Warden doing hot weather patrols checking the track temperature. Role & Responsibilities: Conducting site safety duties in accordance with Network Rail standards. Carrying out track temperature monitoring during patrols, ensuring safety compliance in hot weather conditions. Implementing safe systems of work for trackside activities. Working closely with track engineers and safety teams to maintain a safe working environment. Reporting any safety concerns or temperature-related risks promptly. Requirements: Valid Sentinel Card with PTS (Track Induction) & COSS competency. Experience working in hot weather conditions and monitoring track temperatures. Strong understanding of railway safety procedures and risk assessments. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and nights if required.
