Do you want to work in a role where you can support people to rebuild their lives through construction training?  We are looking for a Senior Construction Skills Tutor to join the Learning, Training & Employment team. Providing opportunities to people who have experienced homelessness to gain life skills and develop their employability is a fundamental part of our aim to help people rebuild their lives. The St Mungo’s Construction Skills training programmes offer opportunities for people with experience of homelessness to learn a range of trades and find employment, apprenticeships further training, volunteering, work experience or further education.  In the role of Senior Construction Skills Tutor, you will:  Be responsible for the delivery of practical construction skills training to St Mungo’s clients covering; painting and decorating, tiling, basic carpentry, basic plumbing & basic electrical at Level 1-Multiskills.   Manage a small team consisting of another tutor, employment specialist and a progression coach to map clients progression and move on after training.  Foster close relationships with Local hostel managers to Build up the client base.  About you  We are looking for empathetic and proactive individuals with the ability to share skills and inspire people.  In addition you will have good communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, be flexible, with a willingness to work across different sites and have the knowledge and understanding of the importance of client involvement and working with a person centred approach to ensure the best outcomes for clients.  We’d always like to hear from people who want to help transform lives.
