This will be commissioned across Birmingham and Solihull and will aim to deliver outcomes to support the Council’s Route2Zero strategy and sustainability strategies with a focus on industrial symbiosis. The project will aim to:• build understanding/insight into the Council’s maturity on net zero/climate change, develop resources and capability/ knowledge specifically in relation to supply chain measurement and reporting practices, market insights and best practice in supply chain and develop a programme of engagement and knowledge sharing to support supply chain net zero readiness, • ensuring referrals into UKSPF and other business support programmes and grants,• the programme will identify near, medium- and long-term actions to build relations and support growing maturity of supply chain readiness, • aim for delivery of near-term programme of engagement activities which may include workshops and knowledge sharing events with other local and regional SME support networks
