This procurement is provide the testing of products to determine their compliance to the Ecodesign and Energy Information Regulations in competition in accordance with the attached document. The requirement is for the testing of six (6) or seven (7) products under five (5) different Lots to determine their compliance to the Retained EU Ecodesign Regulations for Energy-Related Products 2010, Energy Information Regulations 2011 and The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information Regulations 2021.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) is the appointed Market Surveillance Authority responsible for enforcing the Ecodesign Regulations for Energy-Related Products 2010, Energy Information Regulations 2011 and The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information Regulations 2021 within the UK.

This procurement is split into 5 different lots, and suppliers may bid for any number of lots:

Lot 1 – Solid Fuel Local Space Heaters

Lot 2 – Household Tumble Driers and Washer-Dryers

Lot 3 – Electric Motors

Lot 4 – Residential Ventilation Units

Lot 5 – Household Fridge Freezers

The estimated contract value of all 5 lots combined is £330,000 excluding VAT.
