II.2.4) Description of the procurement
This procurement process is to arrange a Contract for the Inspection and Testing of Emergency Lighting Systems – Area 1 for various Dundee City Council properties.
It is imperative that the contractor has a local office and is 100% confident of meeting response times detailed in section 14 of the specification (see file named “20-50036 EL Area 1 - Spec - Rev A”
The works shall comprise the Inspection, Testing, Certification, written reporting and subsequent servicing and maintenance of the Emergency Lighting Systems and associated equipment within various Dundee City Council properties, along with minor and urgent repair works which may have not been foreseen.
The Works shall include and take into consideration the following:
The routine servicing of emergency lighting systems together with urgent repair works ordered during the period of the contract.
The works shall comprise the servicing and maintenance, written reporting and subsequent repair work of the Emergency Lighting installations within the various Dundee City Council properties listed in this specification, to the requirements and recommendations set out in current applicable British Standards, European Standards & all statutory requirements, for a fixed period as stipulated in the Contract particulars.
The Contractor shall carry out the works as laid out in the specification at Section 12 - Inspection & Test Procedure.

III.1.1) Suitability to pursue the professional activity, including requirements relating to enrolment on professional or trade registers
List and brief description of conditions
All electrical work shall be carried out by a Contractor within an approved body such as National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) and/or a Trade Association or equivalent and operatives employed on these works shall be suitably qualified and experienced in the testing of emergency lighting installations to the requirements of BS 5266-1: 2016 – a copy of Company accreditation should be supplied with the returned Tender. Contractors are required to be a member of an applicable trade association.
