Tenders are invited for the provision of Solar lighting in Victoria Park and Mason Avenue Park Leamington Spa. Through consultation with key stakeholders the council have identified two popular green spaces in which to deliver a variety of lighting solutions. Victoria Park in Leamington and Mason Park in Lillington are two areas where our communities have reported feeling unsafe due to a lack of lighting. Both areas are popular green spaces for a variety of activities such as walking, running, and cycling. This contract is to provide and install solar lighting solutions for both Victoria Park and Mason Park. The projects must be completed by 31st March 2025 in line with Home Office requirements.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement

Through consultation with key stakeholders the council have identified two popular green spaces in which to deliver a variety of lighting solutions. Victoria Park in Leamington and Mason Park in Lillington are two areas where our communities have reported feeling unsafe due to a lack of lighting. Both areas are popular green spaces for a variety of activities such as walking, running, and cycling. There is a common theme that these spaces aren’t accessible after dark which is something we wish to change. The council have received Home Office funding (UKSPF) to deliver the two projects in 24/25. This contract is to provide and install solar lighting solutions for both Victoria Park and Mason Park. The projects must be completed by 31st March 2025 in line with Home Office requirements.Victoria Park requires a solar bollard solution installed at intervals around the entirety of the park’s circular footpath, providing a wayfinding solution in hours of low light/darkness. In addition, solar lighting columns are required to cover the skatepark, this solution will need to be on a timer and provide enough illumination for users to skate safely in low light/darkness.Mason Avenue Park requires solar lighting columns installed at intervals along the main footpath through the park.Duration of the contract will be approximately 6 months - to be completed by 31st March 2025.
