This DPS is being established to provide the Royal Borough of Greenwich (Royal Greenwich) with a compliant procurement route for its Construction and Development professional service’s needs. It is intended to provide for professional services for small projects (Category 2) through to larger-scale projects (Category 1). All construction related service organisations from SMEs through to large companies are therefore encouraged to participate.

Construction Related Multi-Disciplinary Services - Category 1

This is intended to cover projects where Royal Greenwich needs a wide range of high value construction professional services but where making multiple separate instructions is administratively burdensome and generally un-commercial, and where the value of the overall project in respect of which services are required exceeds the public procurement threshold for works contracts.

Category 1: Applies where overall project value exceeds works contract threshold [i.e. Large projects]

Core Services, which need to provided in-house are:

• Employers Agent / Project Manager

• Quantity Surveyor

• Building Surveyor

Other Services which are required, but which can be sub-contracted are:

• Architecture

• Clerk of Works

• H&S Advisor

• Principal Designer (under CDM)

• Principal Designer (under Building Safety Act)

Please note that this Category is made up of further Sub-Categories as set out in paragraph 3.4 of the Invitation to Participate document (which forms part of the procurement documents for this DPS). Where Royal Greenwich or another purchaser wishes to instruct a call-off contract under this Category, they may apply all or some of those Sub-Categories in order to identify which admitted suppliers will be invited to submit tenders for that call-off contract.
