II.1.4) Short description
The new Wiltshire Council Surface Dressing and Micro Asphalt Term Contract is for the design, provision and aftercare of Surface Dressing and Micro Asphalt Surfacing works on the Wiltshire highway network. Including associated pre-surfacing civils works, road markings, cats’ eyes, loop cutting and gully emptying, and including any necessary traffic management associated with these works, on the highway or other council land in Wiltshire.
The successful contractor will be expected to:
• Provide safe methods of working including environmental considerations
• Agree final measures and invoicing
• Attend regular contract meetings
• Liaise with the council’s network management team to coordinate the works including obtaining the correct road space permits. And ensure works are programmed evenly across the county, and provide regular updated programmes
• To capture its carbon emissions against the maintenance activities and will be expected to actively seek to reduce it carbon footprint during the contract period.
• To provide social value through tender commitments that will improve the wellbeing of individuals, communities, and the environment of the county
