The Contract is for the routine service, maintenance and testing of fire detection, emergency lighting and smoke control systems. This service will also include emergency call out cover and annual portable appliance testing. Selwood is required under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to ensure an adequate system is in place at all times for the routine service, maintenance and testing of fire detection, emergency lighting and smoke control systems in our schemes and blocks of flats. The servicing of these systems is currently undertaken in accordance with industry best practice and repairs are undertaken as required.

The Contract also includes for the annual Portable Appliance Testing of Selwood electrical equipment, as required.
