Northumberland County Council (NCC) is conducting a procurement exercise to appoint a main contractor to carry out the works at The Berwick Maltings Theatre.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement

This project is to be developed using a two-stage design and build procurement. The first stage is implemented through a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) where the successful bidder will carry out a set of pre-construction services for an agreed fee. During this stage the design and scope, price and programme for the main works under the building contract will be developed by the successful bidder and provided to the Council for approval. The Council at its entire discretion may then award a building contract by issuing a notice to proceed.
