II.1.4) Short description
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (referenced to from here on in as BCUHB) are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to provide the Service, Maintenance and Reconditioning of Wheelchairs and associated items across the Health Board.
The Health Board require a fully comprehensive package to be provided by the successful supplier- a detailed breakdown of the requirement is included within the Specification document that accompanies this Invitation to Tender.
The requirement is split into two (2) specified lots:
Lot 1- Service and Maintenance of Wheelchairs and Associated Equipment
Lot 2- Reconditioning of Wheelchairs and Associated Equipment
The term of the contract will be 3 years with an option to extend, at the sole discretion of the Contracting Authority, for two additional 12 month periods.
Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board recognises the importance of the Welsh language to the communities it serves. Consequently, responses to an invitation to quote or tender will be accepted in Welsh as well as English. However, please note that tender responses submitted only in Welsh will be translated by the Health Board into English before consideration. Those involved in translating the document will be barred from taking decisions on awarding tenders.

The tender will be awarded to the most economically advantageous tender based on 40% quality and 60% cost as detailed in the ITT document.
