This contract is for the provision of three members of the Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections (TFEIP). The TFEIP supports parties in the reporting of official air pollutant emissions and projections data to the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP). The TFEIP also provide a technical forum and expert network to identify emission factors, establish methodologies for the estimation of emissions and identify problems related to data reporting.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement

This opportunity is advertised by Defra group Commercial (DgC) on behalf of Defra.

The Contractor will be contracted to undertake the following activities for three years (with the option of a two two-year extension period 3+ 2 + 2), subject to the agreed individuals remaining in post.

This contract is for the provision of three members of the Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections (TFEIP). The TFEIP supports parties in the reporting of official air pollutant emissions and projections data to the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP). The TFEIP also provide a technical forum and expert network to identify emission factors, establish methodologies for the estimation of emissions and identify problems related to data reporting.

The Authority funds specific roles within the TFEIP:

• Chair of the TFEIP;
• Co-Chair of the TFEIP’s Projections Expert Panel (PEP);
• Secretariat Support for these roles and for the running of the TFEIP.

The Authority wishes a Contractor to undertake these roles as well as related activities outlined within the specification.
