II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s)
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is seeking Expressions of Interest for an urgent opportunity to deliver a First Person View (FPV) Drone Training Fleet. This FPV Drone Training Fleet is required to support a scheduled military exercise in late Spring.

II.2) Quantity or scope of the contract
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope
Interested parties should have demonstrable experience in this sector and be able to meet the following key deliverables:
1) 5 Inch, 8 Inch and 10 Inch Quadcopter drones capable of:
a) Enabling the training of Field Army soldiers.
b) For 8/10 Inch - Carrying a payload to simulate the flight characteristics of an armed FPV drone (payload will be provided by the Authority)
c) Being maintained by the user/drone operator.
d) Operating with Betaflight Software.
2) VTx Goggles - The FPV Platform shall be operable using FPV goggles.
3) Controller/Transmitter - An ELRS controller/transmitter operating at 915MHz that is reconfigurable outside of the 850-950MHz range. The transmitter shall be capable of connecting to an external antenna module.
4) Battery chargers - The system shall be supplied with appropriate chargers able to charge both LiPo XT60 and Li-Ion Batteries up to and including 6S 9500mAh XT90 (XT60 to XT90 adapters are allowed).
5) Delivery no later than 31 March 2025.
Given the urgency of this requirement we expect Invitations to Tender to be sent approximately 20 Feb 2025, however this is subject to change.

The Authority reserves the right to amend any condition related to security of information to reflect any changes in national law or government policy.
